Replace Revenue Grid tabs in your Lightning app navigation (for end users)

1 min read

Note

This article is for users who have permission to customize their own Salesforce Lightning app navigation. For the admin guide, see Replace Revenue Grid tabs in Lightning app navigation (for Salesforce admins).

If your organization recently upgraded the Revenue Grid managed package from version 1.83 or earlier to version 1.87 or later, you might still see outdated Revenue Grid tabs (marked with “(Legacy)”) in your app navigation. These older tabs no longer work correctly with the updated version of the app.

This article explains how to remove the old tabs and replace them with the new ones—if you have permission to customize your Salesforce app navigation.

What you need

Before you start:

  • Make sure you’re using Salesforce Lightning Experience (not Salesforce Classic).
  • The Revenue Grid managed package is upgraded to version 1.87 or later.
  • You have permission to customize the app navigation (if you don’t see the option described below, contact your Salesforce admin).

Step 1: Open the app to customize it

  1. Click the App Launcher (grid icon in the top-left corner), and open the app where you see the old Revenue Grid tabs.

  2. In the Navigation Panel, click the down arrow to open the Navigation Menu.

  3. Click Edit at the end of the navigation bar.

Step 2: Remove old Revenue Grid tabs

  1. In the list of navigation items, find any tabs related to the old Revenue Grid app (marked with “(Legacy)”).

  2. Click the Remove () icon next to each outdated tab to remove it.

Step 3: Add the new tabs

  1. Click Add More Items.

  2. In the Available Items list, search for new Revenue Grid tabs—such as RG Pipeline, RG Forecast, and others—and click the Add icon () next to each tab you want to add.

  3. Click Add Nav Items.

  4. Use drag-and-drop to arrange tabs in the navigation in the order you prefer.

Step 4: Save your changes

  1. Click Save to apply the updated navigation layout.

  2. Check the new tabs in your app’s navigation bar.

  3. Open each tab to make sure it works correctly.
