Configure AI Mentor Chat for your organization¶
AI Mentor Chat is an AI-powered assistant that helps both sales and customer operations teams work more efficiently by delivering real-time guidance and insights from CRM data—directly in the Revenue Grid Email Sidebar. This guide explains how admins can enable AI Chat at the tenant level and disable or reenable it at the profile level to manage user access.
Data security and access control¶
AI Mentor is built with enterprise-grade security and complies with your visibility settings in Salesforce and Revenue Grid. It only accesses data you are authorized to view and generates responses strictly within those permissions.
All data is processed according to Revenue Grid’s Privacy Policy and AI Functions Terms and Conditions.
Prerequisites¶
To configure access to AI Mentor Chat, you must have the appropriate admin role:
- To enable, disable, or configure AI Chat at the tenant level, you must have the Platform admin role.
- To enable or disable AI Chat at the profile level, you must have either the Platform admin or Profile admin role.
Enable AI Chat at the tenant level¶
To make AI Mentor Chat available across your organization, enable it in the platform settings.
- Sign in to the Revenue Grid Admin Panel.

In the Platform settings section, open the AI preferences tab.

Turn Enable AI chat on.
Important
By enabling AI Chat, you confirm that: (i) you are authorized to activate this AI-Based Function on behalf of your organization; (ii) you have read and agree to Revenue Grid’s AI Functions Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy; (iii) AI Chat activates AI technology (Microsoft Azure OpenAI), provided by Revenue Grid’s current sub-processor, Microsoft Corporation, as reflected in our Sub-processor List for AI-Based Functions.

Enter company-specific details to personalize AI Chat responses:
- Company name – Your organization’s official name.
- Competitors – A list of key competitors for context-aware insights.
- Company description – A short overview to help the AI understand your business.
- Sales enablement information – Your sales playbook or messaging to align Mentor’s responses with your process.

Click Save.
Once saved, AI Mentor Chat is activated for the tenant and becomes available to users automatically–no additional steps needed.
Disable AI Chat for a specific profile¶
When turned on at the tenant level, AI Chat is enabled by default for all profiles. However, you can restrict access for specific user groups by disabling it at the profile level.
- Sign in to the Revenue Grid Admin Panel.

In the Administration section, select the Profiles tab.

Open the profile where you want to disable AI Chat and go to the Details subtab.

In the Miscellaneous section, turn off AI Chat in Sidebar.

Click Save.
- Ask users assigned to this profile to refresh their Revenue Grid Sidebar to apply the change.
Reenable AI Chat for a profile¶
If AI Chat has been disabled for a profile, you can turn it back on at any time.
- Sign in to the Revenue Grid Admin Panel.

In the Administration section, select the Profiles tab.

Open the profile where you want to enable AI Chat and go to the Details subtab.

In the Miscellaneous section, turn on AI Chat in Sidebar.

Click Save.
- Ask users assigned to this profile to refresh their Revenue Grid Sidebar to apply the change.
AI Mentor Chat can be easily managed at both the tenant and profile levels. Enabling it gives your teams access to real-time, AI-powered insights, while profile-level settings let you control access for specific user groups.
