Enable the Country Code picklist in the Sidebar

Even if your Salesforce organization configuration includes the Country Code picklist for standard objects such as Contact, Account, Campaign Member, Contract, Lead, Order, Person Account, Quote, or Service Contract, the Sidebar treats it as a regular text field by default. Thus, you must still manually enter the country value.

To display the Country Code picklist in the Sidebar instead of the standard Country field and eliminate redundant manual work, follow these steps:

  1. In the Sidebar, click the Menu icon in the top-left corner.

  1. Select Customization. The Objects page of the Sidebar settings will appear.

  1. In the Objects menu, locate the card for the desired object type and click it to expand.  If the object is not listed, add it first.

  1. In the Detailed View section:

    1. Enter “Mailing Country Code” in the search field, then select the checkbox next to the corresponding object.

    1. Clear the search field, enter “Mailing Country,” and clear the checkbox next to the corresponding object.

  2. Click Save to apply the changes, then refresh the Sidebar.

Once the changes are applied, the Mailing Country Code picklist will appear in the Sidebar under the detailed view of the record for the configured object type. When you click the Edit () icon, you can select a country from the picklist instead of manually entering it.
