This article covers features in the updated Sidebar settings, previously known as Sidebar Customization. For information about the legacy version, please visit this page.

By default, the RG Email Sidebar displays only non-closed Cases or Opportunities, filtering out closed ones to focus on active objects. However, suppose you need to review or work with closed Cases and Opportunities. In that case, you can create a custom list view in Salesforce and add it to the RG Email Sidebar to expand the view scope.

Create a custom list view

To create a custom list view in Salesforce for Cases or Opportunities, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your Salesforce account and navigate to the Opportunities or Cases page from the Sales Console.

  1. In the New List View dialog, enter a name for your list in the List Name field, e.g., All Cases.

Define the search view scope

After creating the custom list view for Cases or Opportunities, you must select it as the search view scope for the corresponding object type in the Sidebar settings. Thus, you enable the Sidebar to display all records of that type, including closed ones. To configure this:

  1. In the Sidebar, click the Menu icon () in the top-left corner.

  1. Click Customization to open the Objects page in the Sidebar settings in your default browser.
