The wrong Sidebar version was installed

For users of the Email Sidebar on:

In some cases, companies may have a custom version of the RG Email Sidebar developed specifically for them. These custom versions often include features not available in the RG Email Sidebar published in the Microsoft App Store and Chrome Web Store.

If your company has a custom Sidebar, attempting to log in after installing the RG Email Sidebar from the Office Store or Chrome Web Store will result in an error.

How to resolve this issue?

  1. Uninstall the store Sidebar version: Remove the RG Email Sidebar installed from the Microsoft App Store or Chrome Web Store.
  2. Contact your system admin: Request the installation package for your company’s custom Sidebar version.  

Uninstall the Microsoft App Store Sidebar version

To uninstall the RG Email Sidebar installed from the Microsoft App Store, follow these steps:

  1. Locate and click the Apps icon:

    • In Read Mode (when reading an email): The Apps icon is in the action bar of the selected message.

    • In Compose Mode (when composing or replying to an email): The Apps icon is in the ribbon, under the Add-ins group of the Message tab.

  2. In the flyout menu that appears, right-click on the Revenue Grid for Salesforce CRM icon.

  1. Click Uninstall.

  1. In the confirmation dialogue click Uninstall again, and then click OK.

The RG Email Sidebar app will be removed from Outlook.

Uninstall the Chrome Extension

  1. Open the Google Chrome browser on your computer.
  2. Type chrome://extensions/ in the address bar and press Enter to go directly to the Extensions page.
  3. On the Extensions page, type Revenue Grid in the search field at the top of the page.
  4. Click the Remove button.

  1. In the confirmation dialog that appears, click Remove to confirm that you want to delete the extension. 

The RG Email Sidebar Chrome extension will be removed from Gmail.

After removing the app or extension, request the correct installation manifest from your administrator. Refer to this article for instructions on installing the RG Email Sidebar using the manifest file.
