Configure Salesforce flows for guest scenarios¶
Introduction¶
If your company uses Salesforce flows to schedule appointments based on the Inbound New Guest Appointment or Book Appointment from Invitation templates, you must configure your custom flows to use the RG Salesforce Scheduler Adapter. This quick setup will ensure your appointment scheduling works correctly with the adapter.
Before you begin¶
Make sure you have:
- Access to Salesforce Setup.
- Permissions to modify flows.
- Custom flows created from either the Inbound New Guest Appointment or Book Appointment from Invitation templates.
Configuration¶
- Open the Salesforce Setup menu.
- In the Quick Search field, enter Flows, then click Flows in the search results.
- Find and open your flow created from the Inbound New Guest Appointment or Book Appointment from Invitation template.

In Flow Builder, locate the action block:

For the Inbound New Guest Appointment template: find Action: Save Appointment.

For the Book Appointment from Invitation template: find Action: Save Guest Appointment.

Click the Advanced section to expand it.

In the Transaction Control section, select Let the flow decide (recommended) and click Done.

Click Save in the upper-right corner.
After configuring your flows, test the appointment scheduling process to ensure everything works as expected.
